Plants gallery update

In the course of my overdue galleries update, next up, I added 43 pictures to the Plants gallery. This gallery mainly contains images of flowers, but also some rather intimate impressions of forests and trees. Of course, I would be very happy, if some of you'll find the time to check them out and let me know what you think so far about my newer works.

This particular day, I spent a very pleasant dusk in these Snowdrop covered wetland woods.

Mammals & Atelier Nature galleries update

After yesterday's quite big update of the Landscapes gallery, I would like to continue today with two smaller updates containing 60 images all in all. As of now you will find numerous newer photographs in the Mammals gallery and also in the Atelier Nature gallery, which is mainly about colors and shapes of rather inorganic structures. And again you can also browse through a few of these new pictures here in the blog.
Actually I intended to do a rather classic wide angle landscape image, with a small pond as a foreground, but as I noticed what was going on on the water surface, I was just mesmerized and watched and photographed the ice emerging during this frosty morning until my wet feet were almost frozen. It was quite fascinating how fast and in which shapes the ice appeared.
Joy. On both sides of the shore. Just imagine standing there, with your baby boy in the arms, showing him this slice of nature's awesomeness.
The pannonian light at sunset can be pretty pleasant.
Of course there are so many big landscape vistas in New Zealand which are breathtaking beautiful. But the closer you look, the more fascinating it actually gets. I would have been completely lost if I would have also photographically focused on all the details, so I decided to exlpore them mainly without my camera. Here is a little exception ... I took this three snapshots of sand patterns (which are changing after every single wave) during an afternoon walk on one of the countless amazing beaches within 30 minutes just as an example for natures never-ending beauty.

Landscape gallery update

As you all might know, I used to display lots of images in this newsblog before I uploaded some of them into the galleries. But since I only just finished to show my work of 2019 in this blog and time is precious, I decided not to show any of my 2020 pictures here (except the already shown images of the Thaya Valley National Park). Instead of that, I will continue updating all my online galleries, which haven't been updated since 2018 (!) and I will also display a few of this newer images here in the feed. Of course, unfortunately this means, I can only show a small part of about 350 already prepared images from 2020, I would have shown in the blog ... Since travelling wasn't easy in 2020, I actually intended to take you on a journey through Austria. Although we had to stay in our home country, we spent lots of time outdoors and in terms of photography it was a quite productive year for me.
When finally all of the galleries will be updated you'll find 330 new images of 2019, 2020 and 2021 and you'll will not find 223 older ones any more. After refreshing my Showcase, I'd like to continue with the Landscapes gallery which now contains 73 new images from either New Zealand or Austria. Enough of numbers, enjoy ;)
Very dramatic conditions and extremely heavy winds up in Austria’s highest mountains. Pretty exciting displays of nature’s forces.
Last summer we spent a family week the valleys of the High Tauern National Park. This place really offers countless stunning landscapes, important habitats and mainly unaffected terrain, well worth to protect (from being degraded to a backdrop for tourism and livestock pasture).
Wonderful first snow and some fog created this super delightful fall scenery.
Hardly anything beats moments like this. Wharariki Beach in the early morning.

One of these countless enriching golden mornings we could absorb in New Zealand.
The sun goes down above the fog and behind the distant peaks, while a little branch infront of a tree trunk is still glittering in the very last light of the sun. A scenery pretty close to my hometown.
A great display of light and shadows in Austria's "Sulzbachtäler". Since 2019 these Valleys are Austria's second Wilderness Aera (IUCN category I) beside the "Wildnisgebiet Dürrenstein" (since 2003).
Humble moments surrounded by mighty mountains and a season somewhere between fall and winter.
