Paradisiac pleasures - New Zealand part XI

Monday, 16 March 2020

(Since, as you all probably know already, my main goal is to raise awareness for the importance of wild nature by showing it in my images, it seems important to me to display some of the pictures, of course. Unfortunately I still just cannot find the time to write the articles I would like to here on my website for all my series of images. So I decided to show the upcoming sets of images just with a very few words instead of not showing them at all. Sorry for that. Hope you enjoy the pictures nevertheless and may they hopefully speak for themselves. And of course, your thoughts and feedback are welcome anytime.) The series you can see in this blog entry shows some images of New Zealand's paradisiac Wharariki Beach.

Paradisiac pleasures - New Zealand part XI

There are so many big landscape vistas in New Zealand which are breathtaking beautiful and Wharariki Beach is one of them. But the closer you look, the more fascinating it actually gets ...

... I would have been completely lost if I would have also photographically focused on all the details, so I decided to exlpore them mainly without my camera. Here is a little exception ...

... I took these three snapshots of sand patterns during an afternoon walk on the beach just within about 30 minutes just as an example for nature's never-ending beauty.

There are numerous fascinating rock formations, caves and arches to discover along the beach.

When I explored the area and discovered this little cave, I had no idea that this view had been photographed already quite a few times before (of course) and lots of you might also know this spot as a Microsoft wallpaper. Anyway, I love to explore on my own, without planning my photo spots beforehand, also if it happens often, that I find "my" view later online on countless other pictures ;)

I can remember how much I enjoyed this moments as if it was just yesterday.

Constant heavy wind (and waves) create wonderful sand patterns.

A more distant look, also showing the dense forest.

Just imagine hiking to the beach in darkness, walking through a forest on the last few hundred meters and finally this view reveals.

On this occasion, let me send out some love, light and my message I'll never get tired of spreading. We just have to treat the natural world as we all want to be treated, because we're part of it. Otherwise we, as humans, won't survive. You can download my image "Love & Light" as a Full HD wallpaper for free. May it bring some hope for a bright future to your home office. Take care, stay safe, home & healthy!

Montane moments II

Hope you enjoy the pictures nevertheless and may they hopefully speak for themselves. And of course, your thoughts and feedback are welcome anytime. The series you can see in this blog entry shows the second set of images I took 2019 in Carinthia's part of the High Tauern National Park while I was mainly looking for Alpine Ibexes.

Montane moments II

One of my favorite silhouette shots of 2019, I guess.

Living on the edge. Literally.

Wonderful soft tones above some massive glacier ice.

The habitat of the Alpine Ibexes is also one of the very few areas where the Edelweiss can be found.

A little extra performance under the dramatic evening skies.

It seems like this young one is curiously observing this butterfly (which is hardly noticeable at this small web resolution, I have to admit).

There're eight Alpine Ibexes on this picture ;)

A lovely young Marmot taking a look down to the glacier valley.

It doesn't happen too often, that two animals align properly for a silhouette image.

Montane moments I

Impressive animal in an impressive habitat.

The ability of the Alpine Ibexes to move around on even almost vertical cliffs of rock and at even very young age, is just fascinating. Can you spot the young one?

Still lots of snow up there in August.

What a stunning scenery full of dignity.

Merging with the environment.

An other furry resident of the alpine meadows.

Always very changeable and exciting weather conditions up in these mountains.

First light, first sight.

It's always a very rare and special treat to spot females and young ones.
