Hidden arches - New Zealand part XV

(Since, as you all probably know already, my main goal is to raise awareness for the importance of wild nature by showing it in my images, it seems important to me to display some of the pictures, of course. Unfortunately I still just cannot find the time to write the articles I would like to here on my website for all my series of images. So I decided to show the upcoming sets of images just with a very few words instead of not showing them at all. Sorry for that. Hope you enjoy the pictures nevertheless and may they hopefully speak for themselves. And of course, your thoughts and feedback are welcome anytime.) The series you can see in this blog entry shows a few images taken in New Zealand's Kahurangi National Park.

Some hiking along the picture-perfect coast lines of the national park.

Even without any water this riverbed offers a quite lovely view.

Nikau Palms are endemic to New Zealand, and the only native palm there.

What a delightful view, out of the cave and straight into the woods.

There's simply never enough time to explore.

I'll never ever get tired of places like this. So enriching.

If you look closely, you'll notice, that there's a huge arch infront of the cave.

So I decided to show the upcoming sets of images just with a very few words instead of not showing them at all. Sorry for that. Hope you enjoy the pictures nevertheless and may they hopefully speak for themselves. And of course, your thoughts and feedback are welcome anytime.) The series you can see in this blog entry shows the second set of images from 2018 and 2019 of one of Austria's most spectacular flowers, the Lady's Slipper Orchid.

The rising sun reflects in the dew drops.

Since this particular habitat of the Lady's Slipper is a valley, the sun comes up pretty late and harsh.

Backlit flowers are always something special and graceful.

Hidden in the high grass and under some Creeping Pines.

Approaching dusk in the woods invited me for this silhouette shot.

The ability of Crab Spiders to adapt to their surroundings is simply amazing.

Just shooting all the way through ;)

Soft light of dawn.

Some of them can be found close to a little montane creek which can make a lovely background.

The series you can see in this blog entry shows the first set of images from 2018 and 2019 of one of Austria's most spectacular flowers, the Lady's Slipper Orchid.

Some of them are rather hidden in the woods ...

... while others can be found on open meadows.

Beautiful evening light hits this one on a steep slope.

Without a doubt the Lady's Slipper is a pretty extraordinary flower.

Late in the evening the moon finally rises.

Back in 2018 the conditions there were quite wet most of the time.

Some of them stand out ...

... while the majority is hidden in high grass.

Since these orchids bloom in June, I deeply hope I can manage to go there again this year. Let's see.
