Additional vistas part III
Tuesday, 13 February 2018
I guess it's time to serve the third and last part of my additional Austrian vistas from the past year. Mostly mountainscapes in this one. And since Lake Almsee is definitely among my favorite nearby-locations, I dare to also enclose three more water bird images of this particular lake at the end of this entry. Hope you enjoy.
Creek photography in fall is always pretty delightful.
Gentle sunset at the Schiederweiher. The location is quite beautiful, but actually it offers not that much photographic opportunities.
In summer 2017, Sabine and I, we took our five year old niece out for her first overnight and wild camping outdoor experience. She's such a lovely girl and it was a great pleasure to see her honest excitement about all the wonders of nature. No matter whether it was a tiny spider, a leech or a stunning alpenglow. TV 2.0.
The setting sun hits the last rain of a scattering summer thunderstorm and creates a nice little rainbow.
Backlit fall foliage in front of a cool backdrop.
The quite common morning fog creates a great mood at hte lake.
No, this feather is definitely not yours ...
Backlit mist above the water surface. One of my favorite conditions.
That's it. No more landscapes in stock. There will be three more entries of 2017 before I will finally start showing some fresh spring stuff here (hopefully) ;) See you!

While winter is still hiding and spring is still some weeks ahead (although one can already spot some first wildflowers like Common Hepaticas, Snowdrops, Spring Snowflakes, ...), let me serve you a handful more birdly leftovers from 2017. Since we didn't do any serious travelling in this past year, also all of these impressions were taken in Austria.
A busy Cormorant in Upper Austira's wetlands at early dawn.
What a wonderful scenery. Lovely autumn trees during quickly changing foggy conditions softly illuminatied by the sun. And a bird of prey as a topping.
A close encounter with an actually pretty shy Common Moorhen.
An illustration by nature.
Graceful creatures in graceful conditions.
Delightful encounter in the woods of Lower Austria.
Always very special to spot Spoonbills like these two guys at Lake Neusiedl back in April.
Lonely Grey Goose at very early dawn. A common resident of the Seewinkel area.
Finally I would like to point out to my upcoming spring flower workshop on March, 03
rd 2018, you can see above, and also to my upcoming exhibition "Rehabilditiation" which will take place from April, 27
th to June, 10
th 2018 in Illmitz. More infos on that soon, so stay tuned.

This second set of my plantal left-overs of 2017 actually shows only trees in autumn in Austria. Just a few more impressions I would like to share. Enjoy.
This small beech tree already waers its fall dress, while the taller ones are still green.
A little morning magic in front of a wall of rock.
Although I've been in this area quite a few times already, I didn't notice this beautiful trees until this fall.
When you get almost blown away by all the gold.
Fungi and fog. Two great ingredients for a moody forest scenery.
The forest floor is still covered with the fallen foliage of the past autumn, as the new generation of leaves already starts to fade.
Lovely mystic fog conditions at the edge of a montane forest in Carinthia.
A stitched panorama of a few trees along the Feldaist River.
In the meantime I started working on a pretty cool project for 2018. More on that soon. Thanks for your attention.
