Workshoptermine 2023

Es freut mich, die Workshoptermine für das kommende Jahr 2023 verkünden zu können. Wobei sich die fixen Termine ausschließlich auf meine neun Kurse in Zusammenarbeit mit der Fotoschule Gesäuse beschränken. Alle anderen Workshops halte ich als Individualkurse ab. Abgesehen von meinen Liquid Souls Coachings, die nur im März und April möglich sind, sind bei den Individualworkshops kaum terminliche, zeitliche, thematische oder örtliche Grenzen gesetzt. Von kurzen theoretischen Bildbesprechungen nebenan bis hin zu mehrtägigen intensiven Fototouren, bin ich für vieles zu haben. Alle ausführlichen Infos zu den Workshops gibt's hier online und für Rückfragen stehe ich ohnehin jederzeit zur Verfügung.

Der oberösterreichische Almsee ist stets eine ausgesprochen lohnende Fotolocation und natürlich gebe ich auch anderswo gerne Tipps zur Einführung in die Astrofotografie.

Auch für Detail- bzw. Macromotive, wie diesen Wasserläufer aus meinem Projekt Natürliche Nähe kann man sich mit mir verabreden. Der Kreativität, im Rahmen authentischer Naturfotos, sind in jedem Fall kaum Grenzen gesetzt. Auch bei Sonnenschein ;)

Besonderes Augenmerk lege ich bei meinen Tieraufnahmen auf die Miteinbeziehung von Stimmungen und Lebensräumen. Auch dieses Bild einer Blauflügel-Prachtlibelle entstand in den Auen um Linz.

Ebenso ein Moment, wie ich ihn nahe Linz erleben durfte. Der Winter hat zweifelsfrei seine ganz besonderen fotografischen Reize und auch diese Zeit können wir natürlich gerne gemeinsam nutzen.

Seit einigen Jahren arbeite ich mit der Fotoschule des Nationalparks Gesäuse zusammen und hier kann ich mich bereits auf neun Veranstaltungen im nächsten Jahr freuen. Diese wunderbare Gebirgsregion eignet sich freilich sehr für Landschaftsaufnahmen, bietet aber auch abseits davon eine enorme Fülle an Motiven und Naturerlebnissen.

Der Frühling steht oft ganz im Zeichen der Blüte besonderer Pflanzen und Blumen, wie etwa der Schachbrettblume, die wild in Österreich kaum mehr zu finden ist, jedoch immer für ganz besonders bezaubernde Fotomomente sorgt, wenngleich die Blütezeit nur sehr kurz ist.

Wildlifefotografie ist selbst unter naturfotografischen Aspekten eine sehr unvorhersehbare Angelegenheit. Gerade dafür eignen sich aber persönlich abgesprochene Workshopeinheiten besonders, da die große Flexibilität bei der Umsetzung die Chancen für fotografischen Erfolg erheblich steigert. Beispielsweise stellt der burgenländische Seewinkel ein ausgezeichnetes Gebiet zur Vogelfotografie dar.

Auch in der Wildtierfotografie gehe ich in aller Regel spontan und intuitiv an die Sache heran. Die Verwendung von Hides oder eine lange Vorbereitung sind hier nicht zwingend nötig um ansprechende Resultate zu erziehen. Und auch hier kann, wie bei dieser Eisvogelaufnahme, ein Gebiet in nächster Nähe erfolgversprechend sein.

Wenn auch für diese Serie nicht ganz typisch, zeigt das Bild dennoch ein Motiv aus Liquid Souls, einem meiner begehrtesten Workshopthemen.
Selbstredend eignen sich die Workshops auch als Geschenksgutscheine und ich bereite gerne je nach Wunsch dazu etwas vor. Auch als Freund:innen, Kolleg:innen oder Paar wird mensch sich bei meinen Kursen wohl fühlen. Weitersagen erwünscht ;)

Natürliche Nähe - New gallery

Probably because of the fact, that I was hardly ever photographing my beloved wetlands for the entire year, I was able to go through the images I took for Natürliche Nähe in 2021 and the few I captured in 2022. And so it's finally time for one more temporary hidden gallery on my way to the long overdue major galleries update. This new Natürliche Nähe 2021/22 gallery is quite large and contains about 160 images from the floodplains around my hometown of Linz, Austria. Once again, I hope you enjoy and you also don't forget to take a look at my 2023 calendar (please find some more details below in my last blog post), which is also dedicated to these wetlands. Vivid wetlands - New gallery

In April this year I spent a few delightful days at the Donau-Auen National Park, to get to know the place better and to scout for some new areas and lovely places and also to work for my 6ute 6ründe exhibition, which currently can be seen at the gates of the Gesäuse National Park. For all the info regarding this, please drop by here on the website of Nationalparks Austria. Finally I returned with a handful memorable moments in mind from the Danube floodplains and, of course, a few images. So, in an other hidden gallery, called the 2022 Donau-Auen spring gallery, you can find some impressions of this trip.

The fascinating scenery of reflecting reed and tons of cottonwood seeds on the water totally mesmerized me and I could have watched it all day long. So as this green sandpiper appeared I knew what kind of shot I would like to take and in the end I was quite happy, to catch the bird rather sharp and in an appealing pose.

Beavers definitely made an awesome comback in Austria and it's always exciting to spot one of these huge rodents.
