Gentle roughness part III
Tuesday, 4 September 2018
While summer in Austria slowly comes to an end and I'm already looking forward to my upcoming autumn experiences, I would like to share my last series of landscape impressions from Corsica which have been taken in late spring. There're still a view panoramas and wildlife images of this trip left, which I will show here later some day. All in all I have to say, Corsica really impressed us with its rough but very appealing and beautiful montane vistas, first of all the areas along the Asco Valley.

It's time for some more photographs of Corsica's landscapes. I took these images back in May during a two weeks trip on the island which provides lots of different and very beautiful places with countless wonderful views of unaffected land. Enjoy.

Gentle roughness part I

I know the final third set of my last series is still missing. But since I took a lot of new images in the meantime, which actually also belong to these sets, I decided to continue later. Today I would like to start with the first images of the beuatiful Corsican landscapes. Sabine an me, we spent about two weeks there in May exploring the rocky island. Although the coastlines are also pretty lovely we seemed to enjoy the hinterlands even more. Actually I didn't expect so many stunning montane sceneries, crystal clear creeks and unaffected terrain. And we almost always easily found a place to spend the night, so we could just stay wherever we liked. Especially one of our first destinations, the Asco Valley, really impressed us a lot with its wonderful montane streams, rough rocky mountains and gorgreous pine trees. Without much effort we found numerious untouched spots, which at least gave the impression that there has never been anybody before.
Corsica definitely doesn't disappoint when it comes to stunning mountain vistas. And the, on islands actually quite common, changeable and often dramatic weather conditions make these settings even more exciting. So stay tuned for more. I hope some of you will check back here later again for the next few images of the Corsican landaces.
